Bio

Bio

Thulasi utilizes her expertise in building design and performance optimization to provide project teams with knowledge-based design decision support. She conducts energy, natural ventilation, thermal and daylight modeling using a number of simulation tools such as FloVent, Lumen Micro, Radiance and RadTherm and carries out optimization simulation studies for maximum building performance and occupant satisfaction. Thulasi also generates economic feasibility reports based on the Total Cost of Ownership and Life Cycle Costing Analysis methodologies to help clients identify sustainable strategies that have the maximum Return on Investment and are most economically viable. She also carries out feasibility and performance studies on innovative HVAC and mechanical systems, green roofs, rainwater harvesting and a host of other green building strategies. Additionally, Thulasi serves on Paladino’s technical consulting team to the U.S. Green Building Council, conducting LEED Application reviews for a variety of project types and sizes.

Thulasi received a Master of Science in Building Design from Arizona State University. While at ASU, Thulasi conducted research and analysis on a number of high performance issues such as wind tower scoop performance and the impact of urban heat islands on building energy consumption. Her thesis explored the integration of life cycle assessment into LEED.
