Bio

With a background in building science, Anita provides technical and strategic support to project teams to help them achieve high performance building goals. Anita collaborates with a wide range of clients, including municipalities, transit organizations and retailers, applying her expertise in research and data analysis and taking project teams through the LEED certification process.

She has worked closely with the City of Seattle’s Department of Planning and Development on the Performance Evaluation Program for the city’s Green Building Program. As part of this project, Anita developed a tool that aggregates the LEED application data of buildings certified within the City of Seattle to create water, energy, and waste profiles on green buildings in Seattle. She is also playing a significant role in guiding a portfolio of retail stores from a major wireless service provider through the LEED program.

Additionally, she is working with Paladino’s technical consulting team, reviewing LEED Applications for the U.S. Green Building Council.

Anita received a Master of Building Science from the University of Southern California, where her thesis focused on passive systems in low cost housing, specifically looking at prototype designs for Tijuana, Mexico. During her graduate studies, Anita held an internship with the City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering, where she was part of the Sustainable Design Implementation Program and conducted research for the City’s Green Building Ordinance, which passed in April 2008.
