Developed and owned by Port Blakely Communities, the Issaquah Highlands Fire Station is sited in the Issaquah Highlands Village Community, and is part of an award-winning master planned development project. Paladino and Company provided sustainable development consulting for Blakely Hall Community Center, Issaquah Highlands Fire Station and a new retail block. Key site features shared by all three projects include a site-based storm water treatment system.
Specifically for the Fire Station, Paladino and Company facilitated the selection of green and LEED strategies and provided the team with technical analysis in energy efficiency, thermal comfort and indoor air quality based on the specific needs of the fire station’s occupants. Paladino and Company also managed the LEED process by monitoring the progress toward credit achievement and documentation, ensuring the development of key design concepts and technology strategies while engaging and coaching the design team members.
